Local Elections 2014 page links for City and County Council websites

Adrian Kavanagh, 28th April 2014

This short post aims to list all the official Local Elections 2014 pages across the webpages of the different City and County Councils. As well as listing details on aspects of the elections process (including Notice of Poll details, as well as polling schemes and electoral area maps in some cases), these pages may also be used (in some cases) to report election count details as the counts progress on the weekend of 24-25 May 2014. I would also assume (although everyone know what “assume did to you and me”) that official candidate nomination details will be published on, or linked from, these pages after the official close of nominations at 12pm on May 3rd 2014. If not, I will try to compensate by offering links from local media sources in those counties, if these exist. Indeed, the Dublin City, Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown, South Dublin County, Galway City, Donegal, Monaghan and Louth websites are recording these candidate nomination details on a rolling basis already.

I have, however, found it hard to locate the Local Elections page details for some of these websites, as indicated by the (???) symbol below. If you are aware of an official page for these sites, or know of a more reliable/informative link in the case of some of those links below, then please let me know and I will amend the record as soon as possible.

  1. Cobmeister says:

Why is there no website for Wicklow?

  2. Pity my own countys county council (Carlow) still have no list of LE Candidates up yet! 😦 The Carlow People have been doing some pen-pics of LE Candidates over the past few weeks. I am endeavouring to get my hands on the back issues or better still links to them if the Paper will allow me. I’ll have the list on my blog as of tonight (May the 8th 2014) but I have shared them with Adrian overnight also.
